Acting Information

Becoming an actor is not for everyone, it takes copious amounts of hardwork and dedication. Most importantly, you will need to rely on a little bit of luck. Audition Advice

There are a couple of things every actor should know about auditioning:

Before you leave your home, make sure you have your headshot/resume neatly stapled together, the address and a map of where the audition is, and the phone number of the auditors in case you get lost.

Dress appropriately for the audition (and if you're unsure of what to wear, make sure prior to the audition to ASK the auditors what is appropriate to wear).

Jobs in Film Production

Why aren't there more Film Directors making films. Props Masters, Sound Mixers, Costume Supervisors, Key Grips, etc. becoming Line Producers, Producers-For-Hire or UPM's? Why aren't more crew reaching the level of Department Head? Why aren't more film school students finding work? I'm sure there are lots of reasons, but take a quiet moment to really look. Let's see.... It's not competence - most crew disappear pretty quickly if they're slow witted and incompetent. Film students who graduate have shown they're pretty smart.
